Rostechandzor Holds International Workshop on Developing Safety Requirements in Electrical Engineering Industry
On May 20, 2021, Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor) held the International workshop on developing safety requirements in electrical engineering industry via videoconference. Representatives of energy supervision authorities from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also representatives of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council and Russian electric grid companies took part in the Workshop.
Oleg Shchurskiy, the deputy head of the Department of State Energy Supervision (Rostechnadzor), started off the Workshop and specified in his opening remarks importance of cooperation and experience exchange in the sphere of electrical engineering safety.
During the Workshop participants discussed issues of carrying out energy supervision, and integrated power grid development in CIS countries: development of electric grid companies production systems with the use of modern digital solutions, advanced systems and security tools for staff members during electrical works, technological connection to electricity networks.
Workshop participants agreed to continue cooperation and experience exchange activities in the sphere of electrical engineering safety within the Commission for the coordination of cooperation between state bodies of energy supervision of the CIS member states.
