Alexander Novak noted that over the years of service Alexander Trembitsky had established himself as a professional in his field, a responsible leader who is able to respond to challenges the Service is facing. Also, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation thanked Alexey Aleshin on his own behalf and on behalf of the Russian Government for the work he had done as the chairman of Rostechnadzor and noted that the Service demonstrated positive performance indicators.

“The Rostechnadzor Collegium is to convene in the near future. It will discuss in detail the main results of the Service’s work and future challenges that we will be taking up jointly,” Alexander Novak said.

Alexander Trembitsky thanked the Government for giving him their confidence and promised to make every effort and use his knowledge and experience to meet the challenges for Rostechnadzor.

“A lot has been done under the leadership of Mr. Aleshin: we were the first to switch to the risk-informed approach and the first to initiate the possibility of conducting control and supervisory activities within the framework of remote supervision; we are systematically moving to the implementation of supervisory activities within the framework of digitalization. We must preserve the consistently positive dynamics in reducing the accident and incident rates, which we have achieved together with our supervised organizations. The pace set by the instructions of the President and the Prime Minister obliges us to do this. There will be no revolutions in the Service. We have a well-adjusted mechanism that allows us meeting any challenge within the competence of Rostechnadzor,” Mr. Trembitsky said.

Alexey Aleshin expressed gratitude to Alexander Novak and Alexander Trembitsky for appreciating his work and then addressed those present: “Colleagues, I have spent the past seven years within these walls with you. Those were very bright and productive years. This experience is invaluable to me. We prevented thousands of accidents yearly, which means human lives saved. Our work is precisely about it: saving human lives – this is the highest criterion of appreciation. Last year was a difficult one for us, but even working in the pandemic, we again managed to reduce the rates of accidents and fatal injuries, and, employing the “regulatory guillotine”, to fully update the regulatory framework. I believe that today the Service possesses all the necessary qualities to meet any challenge it may face.”

Сoncluding the official part, Alexander Novak wished the Rostechnadzor staff further effective work with the new chairman at the helm.
