Delegation of Rostechnadzor took part in a working meeting with National Energy Administration (NEA) of China

From June 9 to 13, 2014, the delegation of Rostechnadzor headed by the State-Secretary of the Service, Alexey Ferapontov, visited China (Beijing and Yichang) to participate in a bilateral working meeting with representatives of National Energy Administration (NEA) of People’s Republic of China in order to exchange information and experience in the area of exercising supervision over safety of hydraulic structures.

In course of the meeting the parties exchanged information about functions and authority of the supervision bodies both in Russia and China concerning organization and exercising of supervision over safety of hydraulic structures and discussed prospects for the development of inter-service cooperation.

During the stay the delegation of Rostechnadzor attended Three Gorges HPP in Yichang – the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity (22 GW). On the meeting with the HPP management, the Rostechnadzor’s representatives familiarized with supervision activity to provide safety of the hydraulic structure and ensuring of its safe operation on the whole.

The next working meeting of specialists of Rostechnadzor and NEA of China will be held in Russia.
